Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a unique username. If you choose to upload one, we also store your profile avatar.
Location Data: To find coffee shops near you and power our map features, we collect your device's geographic location (latitude and longitude). This is only done when you are actively using the app and have granted location permissions.
User-Generated Content: We collect the data you voluntarily contribute to the community. This includes:
Reviews and Ratings: The star ratings and comments you submit for coffee shops.
Price Submissions: The prices, coffee types, sizes, and milk types you submit.
Photos: The images you upload for coffee shops.

To Provide the Core Service: To display nearby coffee shops on a map, show your favorites, and allow you to contribute to the community.
To Power Community Features: Your contributions are used to calculate community ratings, price trends, and other insights that benefit all users. Your username and avatar are displayed next to your contributions to give you credit.
To Improve the App: We use anonymous usage data to understand what's working, fix what's broken, and make BeanThere better.
For Support: If you contact us for support, we will use your email address to communicate with you.
Data Sharing and Third Parties
We are committed to protecting your privacy and do not sell your personal data. Here is how we share information:
Google Places API: We share location data and search queries with the Google Places API to retrieve information about coffee shops, such as photos and opening hours.
Public Contributions: Your username, avatar, and any content you contribute (reviews, photos, prices) are publicly visible to other users of the app.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law.
Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information. All data is stored securely with our backend provider, Supabase, and we use secure protocols for all data transmission.
Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to access and control your data. You can review and delete your contributions (such as reviews or photos) at any time within the app. You can also delete your account, which will remove your personal profile information from our system.
